Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) M. Ed., Counselling Psych
The questions around how to live a good life have been of interest since boyhood—a long time ago. Through voluntary involvement in the addiction community, I got a sense I might be helping people. That clue led me back to school to complete a double in philosophy and psychology, professional addiction studies (ongoing), and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I am now a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) within the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
My focus is enacted human agency—the capacity to make choices and then make those choices happen. I work with people with addictions, people who’ve experienced trauma, and people who have experienced burnout or major life transitions. If that’s you, I can probably help.
I’ve worked as a carpenter, builder, architect, and heritage consultant. I share my life with a much-loved wife, two adult children, two ancient cats, and two Scotch dogs. I am interested in ideas, lyrical jazz, architecture, paintings…oh yeah, and international football, especially the Bundesliga & Premier League. That said, my purpose is to help people ready to make serious life changes toward self-actualization. If that appeals, please reach out. It can get a lot better.
